Diamond Shores - Family Escape in Balgowan

Wouldn't stay again. Positive: Location View Parking Wifi Fire pit (byo wood) Negative: Dirty ( floors, windows, oven, dishwasher, crockery, outdoor area.etc) had to run the dishwasher empty as it smelt rotten. coffee machine had old mouldy pods in it. Oven was all fatty. Bird poo on outdoor furniture. Pet hair all over one of the bedrooms. Lack of utensils in kitchen and pantry staples. Not enough basics to have an enjoyable stay. Not enough bin bags, no alfoil, dish washing cloths etc. Shower was sufficient but poor water flow. Heater in main area, but non in bedrooms. No option to have supplied linen which is pretty annoying. Check in time of 3pm is also quite late. Overpriced in our opinion for a property that feels like it has all of the cheapest possible options for flooring, curtains, fixtures etc. And is clearly not maintained. All sliding doors for the bathrooms were hard to move and didn't quite shut properly to latch. Not enough PowerPoint's for use.

A pleasant stay Positive: The size of the lounge and dining area is generous for a group of friends, and so is the outside deck. Unfortunately, the weather was very wet, and we could not make the most of it. very quiet area near beautiful stretch of coast. Our bed was very comfortable. The pantry is well stocked. Negative: The noise of the central air system sounded similar to that being inside a plane and the level of cleanliness was not ideal, particularly in the bedrooms. We found lots of blonde hair (probably dogs) on the carpeted areas.

Fantastic place to stay, quiet and clean.

Really good for family and friends

Fantastic option on the Yorke Peninsula! Positive: We booked the house for work purposes and our contractors loved their stay there. Very happy. We hope to book the house again soon!
